Steve Yager and Dirk Voetberg met in Los Angeles through mutual friends and shot a short film together. After the immediate success of that film, they found the Scrolls written by The Elders of The Dark Tower (of Xxoron) in the blood of Illuminus One (1).
The Scrolls are
the earliest known comedy sketch decree documents ever. Probably
written between 35 and 27 BBC (Before BC), The Scrolls listed the
names of the sketches that must be performed in order to save, or at
the very least, have little effect on mankind. These 43 sheepskin
documents also delineate the basic plots of said sketches. Who wrote
The Scrolls is still a mystery. The Scrolls also do not exist. Steve and Dirk
copied The Scrolls into electronic form and then donated them to the
Natural History Museum in Chicago where the fragile ancient documents
can be stored in a controlled cool and dry environment. After Steve
and Dirk legally changed their two names to the one name The Elders of
The Dark Tower (of Xxoron) in honor of the writers of The Scrolls,
they started filming the decreed videos in the summer of 2007. And
it's been nothing but fun since!
NOTE: The only sketch so far created by The Elders that is not decreed in The Scrolls is "Calls with My Agent: Episode 3."
Others who hath joined the Elders on their mission are John P. Nelson, who co-wrote the Agent sketches (and is The Agent); Shanna Micko, who wrote "Abby & Michael" (and is Abby); and all the great actors we've used up (please see the credits on the videos forth their names).
